Originally founded in 1981, the volleyball club evolved into the present Cajunland Booster Club, providing the New Orleans metro area with one of the finest junior girls volleyball programs in the region. Cajunland’s commitment to providing athletes a safe, enjoyable, and nurturing competitive environment in which to train and prosper has been essential to the club’s success for twenty-nine years.
The club's annual five-week "Fall Clinic" for girls and boys ages 8 to 14 is held in September and October. In adddition, Cajunland offers a "Travel Team Program" where girls, age divisions 12 - 18, travel throughout the country and compete in tournaments. Also, Cajunland has a "Non-Travel Team Program" where players, age division 10 -16, train and compete in local tournaments during the "Cajunland Club Season". The club season begins with tryouts in November then on to practices and tournaments beginning in January. Both the Fall Clinic and club season practices for all age divisions are held at the health club by HILTON. |
| Cajunland is widely recognized as a nationally prominent girls junior volleyball club, accomplished by founding teams, which have consistently and successfully competed in the USA Junior Olympic Girls National Volleyball Championships, AAU Junior Girls National Championships, and the Bayou Region of USA Volleyball. |
| Cajunland teams have captured 2 Gold, 5 Silver, and 7 Bronze Medals and placed 26 times in the Top Ten in USA "Junior Olympic" Girls Volleyball Championships. To its credit, the club also holds 1 Gold, 8 Silver and 8 Bronze Medals from the "AAU Junior National Championships". Numerous Cajunland players have been selected to the USA Junior Olympic "All Tournament Teams" and the AAU "All American Selections". Several Cajunland players have attended tryouts and were selected to participate in USA Volleyball's elite High Performance Camps and Youth/Junior National Teams. |
| Athletes participating in the Cajunland program enjoy the benefit of training and developing their skills under the tutorage of outstanding coaches with many being the finest elementary, high school and college coaches in the area. The coaching staff also includes former Cajunland players who currently play or previously played volleyball at the high school and collegiate levels and bring to the program their unique appreciation for the sport. Cajunland players benefit from the synergy created by its diverse coaching staff and the continuity they bring to the program by way of their tenure with the club. |

Cajunland programs have produced numerous players who have competed and currently compete at the high school level for most of the top girl’s high school volleyball programs in the New Orleans area. Cajunland players are found on teams such as: Academy of The Sacred Heart, Ben Franklin, Cabrini, Country Day, Curtis, Dominican, Mt. Carmel Academy, Newman, North Shore, St. Martin, Ursuline and many others.

Many Cajunland players have earned college volleyball scholarships to such collegiate programs as: Kansas, Alabama, Butler, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Iowa State, Long Beach State, LSU, Mercer, Nicholls, Notre Dame, Purdue, Southeastern Louisiana University, Tulane, UCLA, UNO, Univeristy of Texas San Antonio, University of Virginia, Washington University in St. Louis, and many more. Others have been honored through being named as USAV Junior All Americans, Volleyball “Fab 50” and Louisiana Coaches associations MVP’s. Three former Cajunland players have been named to the U.S. Women’s National Team, the bases of the U.S. Women’s Olympic Volleyball Team.
